“Let them praise his name with dancing…”

- Psalm 149:3a

I was so very blessed to work along side Rob Jones, Towner-Jones Photography, once again this past weekend; Rob is a very good friend of mine as well as an amazing photographer.  I was asked to be his second shooter/assistant as we photographed a beautiful couple, an older couple.  The couple we photographed were such a blessing to watch as they recited their vows, sang their songs, proclaimed their love and danced the night away.  Speaking of dancing, this post is a bit different.

The ceremony was beautiful.  The details were gorgeous.  The dance…the dance was breathtaking.

May this post serve as but a small reflection of this humble couple’s love for one another through their first dance.

Not to long ago my wife and I rescued our first puppy – Sam.  Words alone cannot express how much of a blessing this little guy is to our hearts.  Not quite a year old yet and already a whopping 50 pounds, which is funny because he thinks he is a lap dog.

When we’re sick, not feeling well, or simply down – Sam is there with his puppy eyes and let’s us know everything will be alright.  When we’re joyful and ready for anything – Sam is already in the car waiting for a car ride or already outside ready to play.

Sam is truly the prime definition of man’s best friend – he’s our best friend and we would be lost without him.

This post is dedicated to our dog – Sam.

“A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn’t care if your rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he’ll give you his.”

I apologize for the lack of posts lately – I have been a little behind on all my film scanning. I came across a few images yesterday that just screamed intimacy between Matt and Amanda and I couldn’t wait to post these this morning.

This past weekend I had the amazing and humbling experience to photograph Jake and Michelle.  These two had emotion written all over them – happiness, excitement, passion, and humility.  It was a joy to photograph their day and reunite with some friends of Liberty.

Enjoy this small teaser of Jake and Michelle.

Blessings.

Greetings.

Earlier last week I had an amazing opportunity to work beside a good friend of mine, Mr. Joel Coleman.  Joel asked me to second shoot Matt and Amanda’s wedding and I could not have been more excited.

Matt and Amanda, one of the most super chill couples I have ever met, were so fun to work with.  Their wedding expressed humility in every sense and truly reflected their love for each other, and their friends.  I was so honored to not only work beside Joel, but to have the opportunity to photograph Matt and Amanda on their beautiful day.

I used a lot of film that day and I have so much more to scan, but for now I hope you enjoy this small teaser.  I hope your day is blessed.

the backyard.

May 20, 2009

Backyards are a part of everyone’s past time whether mud pies, playing with the dog, swing sets, gardening, trimming the grass; regardless every home has a backyard.

I had a few frames left on my film camera and decided to take a stroll through my backyard – nothing fancy, but I am interested in exploring further now.

The backyard is only the beginning.
