MISS GWU Contestants….Photoshoot
January 30, 2008
Closing out January with a new post….
Again time escapes from me, and the little blog remains un-updated. So, it’s time. Time for new posts. Time for new photos. And time to go to the movies. I haven’t been in awhile. Oh well, moving on.
So, last week was ever so busy. A wedding, photoshoots, and treating myself to a SMALLVILLE marathon. Again, I’m getting off track.
Let’s start with the photoshoots.
This past Saturday was the Annual Miss GWU Pageant. I felt so excited and humbled to be asked to take the photos for the contestants. What fun! It was a bit chilly and due to time constraints, we kept inside, and used the studio to wrap up real quick.
In this post, I would like to introduce to you some of the contestants.
And the last three photos are of Abigail, who actually won the Photographic award of the pageant. So, fun times.
Thanks for checking out this post. Would love to hear your thoughts! Take care and coming soon, another wedding post! YAY!
Talk to you soon.

Slushy GWU campus….for my dear friends.
January 18, 2008
I consider myself one of great hope, especially when it comes to snow. Like every young man, I always hope for and anticipate the snowy days. Living in Boiling Springs, NC, snowy days aren’t always on the horizon. BUT….every once in awhile surprising things happen.
Take Thursday, 18th, for example. All my dear friends were so excited on Wednesday that GWU would be closed on Thursday, due to snowy and icey weather. I was hoping for it, but not expecting it. Sure enough, the snow came, the freezing rain came and no GWU on Thursday.
So, in honor of all my dear friends, I grabbed a warm jacket, a big umbrella (to protect me from the freezing rain), grabbed the camera and took some photos of campus for them. I hope you all enjoy them.
And now they’re calling for more snow this weekend, will it come? Only the Great SnowMaker above knows, but for now, I, we, will wait in high anticipation.
Take care.

Meet John and Adam….1st Umbrella Shoot EVER.
January 12, 2008
Good Morning! Ah, Saturday…cartoons, coffee, donuts, and a day to post a new blog topic.
So, check this. I have some amazing and very supportive parents. This past Christmas they were so eager to give me some new photography gear, that I have never used before and one was a 40 inch white shoot through umbrella. How cool?!
This past week at work, I was asked to get some new promotional shots for a couple people at GWU and I thought what better time than now to try out my new umbrella.
Meet John Bridges, Director of Church Relations at GWU; followed by Adam Fisher, Director of Marketing at GWU.
I thought I would post these new photos with my first time using my new white umbrella. YAY!
Hope you enjoy.

TGIF!
Don’t you think it’s time to bring back the original TGIF?! Ah well.
PHOTOSHOOT TIME!
Just recently an old college buddy of mine, Tony Simmons, asked me to photograph him, purpose being he needed some up to date headshots. I was more than happy to help. He needed something basic and sharp. And he wanted one with his shirt off. Crazy guy. Oh well…here ya go. Enjoy.

adventures in boredom.
January 2, 2008
Happy New Year, um again. Woop Woop 2008. Who would have thought? 2008. Goodness. Well, this post is nothing to fancy, only an adventure in none other than boredom. Here’s the synopsis. Went to a bike race. Took a few photos. Brought them home. Posted online.I have really grown a liking to the old vintage style photographs that have been left in the sun too long and that you find at flea markets. So, that was my goal for these. Curious to know your thoughts….

Joe Collins….Gardner-Webb’s Dulcimer Champion
January 2, 2008
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Let’s start this year with a blog entry! Woo-hoo!
So, I haven’t posted in awhile. To all my loyal followers and “blog-aholics,” so very sorry for the lack of posts. This time around I am posting something a little different then my normal studio shots.
Meet Joe Collins, a professor at Gardner-Webb, and in fact this year’s National Dulcimer Champion. Oh yes, this man is talented. I only hope the photos give justice to the amount of talent this man has.
Granted the National Title for this year’s Dulcimer Championship, I was asked to photo Joe for a feature story.

Hope you enjoy them!
