Bridal Portraits…of Amanda.

February 12, 2008

I am truly amazed with some of the people I have met in my life.  And I find myself uniquely humbled, when asked to photograph some of those people.  A few weeks ago, I was asked to photograph a young lady that truly has opened a door for me in photography, and not just in photography, but also in my presentation of that photography.

The newly wed, Amanda Hinson, asked for me to photograph not just her special day in marriage, but also her Bridal Portraits.  Talk about a blessing.  Talk about an opportunity.  Talk about a fun day!

I met with her and her mother at the Hamrick-Goode House in Boiling Springs, NC, and we used a few areas inside the house for her Bridal Portraits.  Oh, so many shots were taken that day.  And a lot of laughter.

As a grow in my presentation of my photography, I am finding it hard to point out my absolute favorites.  So, I decided in this blog post to show a mixture of color, black and white, and faded/dark enriched colors.

I want to give you all a small taste of just how amazing Amanda was to photograph and how she has opened a door for me in perfecting my creativity, as well as, experimenting with some new approaches.

Thank you so much for taking the time to see these images.  There are tons more and I cannot wait for Amanda to see them all.  Until next time.  Blessings….

Chris, I prefer the color pictures. My favorite is probably the one of her on the stairs smiling with her head in her hands, but I also like the one by the window with the sun coming over her right shoulder. Good assortment!

[…] Today’s blog post is, well, a little overdue.  I am “spring cleaning” my hard-drives, making some space for other fun photo adventures and then it occurred to me that I never posted any portraits of Mr. Preston Hinson.  As some of you might recall the bridal portraits of his wife Amanda Hinson…(click here.)   […]
